If you want to a one-button tanking macro for your Monk, this is kind of IT. The following Gnome macro will simplify your whole combat as a Brewmaster Monk by a lot. It begins with Keg Smash and Elusive Brew, they it will cycle through Jab, Blackout Kick, Chi Wave, Leg Sweep, and Breath of Fire.

Monk BW AoE Macro

Monk BW AoE Macro - Notepad Code

Macro code:

Sequences['MonkTank1'] = {
PreMacro = [[
/targetenemy [noharm][dead]
[[/castsequence reset=22 !Keg Smash,Elusive Brew]],
[[/cast !Keg Smash]],
[[/cast !Breath of Fire]],
[[/cast Jab]],
[[/cast Blackout Kick]],
[[/cast Rushing Jade Wind]],
[[/cast Chi Wave]],
[[/cast Leg Sweep]],

Required class – Monk
Required spec – Brewmaster
Required talents – Leg Sweep, Chi Wave, Rushing Jade Wind
Required addons – GnomeSequencer

You can add Dizzying Haze to this macro if you want, as it’s quite an important AoE ability. However, you will actually have to click where you want to throw this attack, whenever the macro toggles it. Therefore, if you furiously spam this macro, you will probably skip Dizzying Haze multiple times, and not cast it when you should. That’s why it’s best to keep it separately, and use it as your tanking opener, since it also generates nice threat.

You can also add Touch of Death to the macro, for a single target “finishing move”. Also, you can add Guard to it.

Last but not least, you can add a post macro, containing “/use” commands for your trinkets with active, usable abilities on them, if you use any.
